Robot-surgeon of Russian production will be tested on an animal
The first tests of the new technology should take place in the spring of this year
Chief urologist of the Ministry of Health Dmitry Pushkar said that in spring tests of the robot surgeon, which is being developed by Russian specialists, should be held. In this test will be conducted on the animal.
It is also specified that the operation will take place in March in the territory of Penza.
"The Russian robot, which we are developing together with the Institute of Design and Technology Informatics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, will have to fit into the program of the compulsory medical insurance," added Pushkar.
It is noted that in case of successful tests the robot can be put into serial production. The developed system should allow for remote surgical interventions.
Recently, it became known that the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) is expected to reduce, because the work on the appointment of retirement payments will take on artificial intelligence.
